Job Overview:
The UN Volunteer position within UNICEF Brazil's Corporate Fundraising strategy is crucial for enhancing predictable and sustainable revenue streams through corporate partnerships. This role is designed to align corporate contributions with UNICEF's national programmatic goals, focusing on creating a positive impact for children. The volunteer will be part of the Key Accounts Management (KAM) team, which is responsible for managing relationships with corporate partners and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. The volunteer will report to the Corporate Partnerships Manager and collaborate with various departments to support corporate account efforts, database management, and partner stewardship. This position is vital for securing long-term partnerships that contribute to UNICEF's mission of protecting children's rights and improving their lives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The UN Volunteer will undertake several key responsibilities, including:
  • Managing partnerships with private sector companies in Brazil, ensuring timely and quality completion of commitments such as reports and communications.
  • Developing proposals and negotiating agreements to renew partnerships, focusing on increasing their value or prioritizing flexible income.
  • Identifying risks associated with partnerships and proposing mitigation plans.
  • Building and maintaining internal relationships to support partner stewardship, collaborating with various UNICEF sections such as program, marketing, and communication.
  • Working closely with the New Business Development team to ensure a smooth handover process for partnerships.
  • Adhering to internal guidelines and policies, including due diligence processes for partnership renewals.
  • Contributing to the Corporate Partnerships plan to secure high-value, long-term alliances and sustainable revenue.
  • Supporting the team in maintaining up-to-date internal database records.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are essential. Familiarity with corporate fundraising and partnership management is highly desirable. Educational Background:

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, as the position requires effective communication with local partners and stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to engage with diverse partners.

This is a national UN Volunteer assignment, meaning that the volunteer will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. Volunteers should be prepared for a high-paced work environment and should exercise caution due to the potential for crime in urban areas. The cost of living in Brasilia is relatively high compared to other Brazilian cities, and volunteers should be aware of the living conditions and available services.
