Job Overview: The position of Graphic Design Consultant at UNICEF Argentina is aimed at establishing Long Term Arrangements (LTA) for graphic design services. The consultant will be responsible for providing high-quality graphic design services that adhere to UNICEF's branding guidelines. The consultant will work on various campaigns, events, and specific productions, ensuring that all products reflect UNICEF's brand identity. Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be tasked with designing a variety of publications and editorial products for both print and digital media, including books, reports, and brochures. Responsibilities include planning content, executing design layouts, presenting preliminary versions for feedback, and delivering final products in both web and print formats. Additionally, the consultant will create visually appealing presentations, design logos and visual identities for specific initiatives, and develop a wide range of graphic materials such as infographics, flyers, and social media content. The consultant must ensure that all designs comply with UNICEF's branding guidelines and meet the specific needs of each project.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess specialized skills in graphic design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating experience in creating visual identities and graphic materials for campaigns or events. They should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality design work that meets organizational standards. The consultant must also be able to manage their time effectively and work independently while collaborating with UNICEF staff to meet project deadlines.
Educational Background: A degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is required. Candidates should have formal training in design principles, typography, and digital media production. Additional certifications in relevant software or design methodologies are advantageous.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of professional experience in graphic design, particularly in areas related to UNICEF's work such as education, health, protection, and inclusion. Additional Notes: The consultancy will be for an initial period of 36 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs. Only proposals from consultants based in Argentina will be accepted. The consultant will be responsible for their own tax obligations and must ensure compliance with local laws. Selected candidates will need to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 as per UNICEF's health and safety protocols.
