The organization has been operational in Ukraine since 2014, responding to the ongoing humanitarian crisis. With a workforce of over 800 employees in Ukraine, DRC implements emergency responses across various sectors, including Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding, which encompasses humanitarian mine action. DRC's approach involves direct interventions, support to duty bearers, and collaboration with civil society organizations (CSOs). As the context evolves, DRC is committed to adapting its durable solutions portfolio to meet the changing needs of the affected populations.

Job Overview:
The primary purpose of the Driver (NTS/EORE Driver) role is to facilitate and manage passenger transportation within Ukraine, ensuring the effective planning and execution of transport and logistics activities that support humanitarian assistance operations, particularly in Kyiv, while also undertaking business trips across the country. The driver is tasked with the responsibility of operating, managing, and maintaining the vehicle to ensure safe and efficient transport for operations teams and field offices. This role is crucial in ensuring that humanitarian efforts are supported through reliable transportation, which is essential for the success of various operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to: conducting daily vehicle driving duties and performing inspections in accordance with the Supply Chain Manual; ensuring that each vehicle is equipped with a Vehicle Log Book, First Aid Kit, and Fire Extinguisher; maintaining cleanliness of the vehicles both inside and out; reporting any accidents, damages, or defects to the Supply Chain Officer and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Specialist, and completing the necessary Accident Report for further action; verifying that Vehicle Log Books are accurately filled out and submitted to the Supply Chain Officer at the beginning of each month; ensuring proper parking of vehicles during both day and night at the office parking; checking the vehicle post-repair to confirm that all necessary work has been completed; adhering to all traffic laws and regulations applicable in Ukraine and those set by DRC; maintaining possession of a valid driving license and ensuring its renewal as required; communicating effectively with Supply Chain Officers and Security Officers; monitoring fuel levels and organizing refueling as needed; and submitting the completed Logbook to the Supply Chain Officer at the end of each working day. The driver must comply with the operational needs of the organization and demonstrate flexibility in working hours as required.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of driving experience, preferably within international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Additionally, candidates should have a secondary university degree. Proficiency in the Ukrainian language is essential, and a basic understanding of English (level A1) is required. Candidates should also demonstrate basic computer literacy, including skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a secondary university degree. This foundational education is essential for understanding the operational and logistical aspects of the role, as well as for effective communication and documentation.

Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience, ideally within the context of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). This experience is crucial for ensuring that the driver is familiar with the operational needs and challenges associated with humanitarian work, as well as the ability to navigate various terrains and conditions across Ukraine.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is Ukrainian, with fluency required for effective communication. Additionally, a basic understanding of English (level A1) is necessary, which will aid in communication with international staff and documentation processes. While not mandatory, proficiency in other languages may be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
The contract for this position is initially set for a duration of 3 months, with a probation period included. There is a possibility of extension based on funding availability and performance evaluations. The position is classified under Band J, and the designated duty station is Mykolaiv, with full-time commitment expected. The start date for this role is as soon as possible.
