Job Overview: The Operations Analyst position is a critical role within the Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM) of the South Asia Department (SARD) at ADB. The primary function of this role is to provide comprehensive operational support to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director's Office. This includes ensuring quality assurance in the review and enhancement of strategic operational documents, conducting operational research through data collection and analysis, and facilitating internal coordination to promote a cohesive OneADB approach across operational and administrative teams. The Operations Analyst will also be responsible for providing secretarial services to monitor the progress of operations and administrative tasks, ensuring that management decisions are supported effectively. The role requires a proactive approach to enhance strategic alignments with the priorities of Bangladesh and ADB, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of ADB's operational procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Operations Analyst will undertake a variety of duties, including but not limited to: reviewing and enhancing operational documents to ensure they align with ADB guidelines and BRM quality standards; providing analytical and editorial inputs to strengthen briefing notes and presentation materials for senior management and government officials; collecting, organizing, and analyzing socio-economic data relevant to Bangladesh to support ADB's operations; preparing data-driven insights and visual dashboards to inform management decisions; facilitating coordination between operations and administration teams to ensure a cohesive approach; monitoring the progress of operational and administrative tasks, tracking milestones, and flagging delays for management attention; ensuring adherence to management instructions by concerned staff; and performing any additional duties as required in the workplan.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in economics, business or public administration, accounting and finance, or other related fields. Additionally, at least 5 years of relevant professional experience is required, particularly in conducting background research and analysis, collecting and organizing data, and preparing reports. Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software commonly used within ADB or similar multilateral development banks is essential. The candidate should also demonstrate effective coordination and collaboration skills, a thorough understanding of ADB's procedures, and the ability to work with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Excellent command of written and spoken English is mandatory.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as economics, business or public administration, accounting and finance, or other related disciplines is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for the analytical and operational tasks expected of the Operations Analyst.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. This experience should include conducting background research and analysis, collecting and organizing data, and preparing reports and presentations. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in environments similar to ADB, preferably within multilateral development banks or international organizations, where they have developed a strong understanding of operational procedures and practices.

Additional Notes: This appointment is a fixed-term position with the option to renew, initially for a period of up to 3 years or until the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes first.
