Job Overview:
The Partnerships Coordinator position is part of the 'Pathways to Protection' (P2P) project, which is a collaborative effort led by DRC in partnership with the Danish Red Cross and the IDC. This project spans across 10 countries and involves 23 local partner organizations. The primary responsibility of the Partnerships Coordinator is to develop and implement a harmonized protection monitoring system that will facilitate the collection, verification, and analysis of data over time. This system is crucial for identifying rights violations and protection risks faced by populations on the move, ultimately informing effective responses and evidence-based advocacy efforts. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders and the ability to manage complex data systems effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the Partnerships Coordinator include: mapping data and information needs for the P2P Protection Monitoring System; assessing the relevance of current protection monitoring exercises; developing quantitative and qualitative tools in line with the PIM Framework; creating common units of analysis for protection monitoring; collecting feedback from stakeholders; developing system SOPs and analytical guidelines; creating a roll-out plan for the Protection Monitoring System; developing training materials and plans for field teams; collaborating on the design of monitoring dashboards; facilitating training sessions in field locations; revising the Protection Monitoring System post-rollout; contributing to program development using monitoring data; coordinating technical inputs from various stakeholders; reviewing protection monitoring reports for quality assurance; identifying trends for evidence-based programming; representing the CMU in public forums and donor engagements; and supporting the management of protection-monitoring-related partnerships.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the Partnerships Coordinator position, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Law, International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, or Psychology. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of proven experience in protection monitoring within humanitarian contexts, a strong understanding of the PIM Framework and PAF, and experience working in mixed migration settings. Excellent analytical skills, prior experience in developing protection information management systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders are essential. Candidates should also have experience in developing and delivering training programs and be willing to travel frequently.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Law, International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, or Psychology. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of protection issues and the legal frameworks surrounding humanitarian work.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in protection monitoring within humanitarian response settings. Candidates should have a proven track record of working effectively in mixed migration contexts and developing protection information management systems.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, professional fluency in French or Arabic is desired, as it will facilitate communication with local partners and stakeholders in the regions where the P2P project operates.

  • The duty station is Tunis, but other locations may be considered, with regular travel to Tunis and P2P implementing countries. The salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Expatriates.
