Job Overview: The IM Officer plays a crucial role within the CCY (Country Consortium for Yemen), primarily responsible for managing information systems and collaborating closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team within the CCY Consortium Management Unit. This position is vital for ensuring effective data collection, management, analysis, and reporting, which are essential for evidence-based decision-making and enhancing programmatic coordination. The IM Officer will develop and improve standardized data collection tools, oversee database management, and ensure that all partners adhere to unified data collection procedures. The role also involves producing analytical reports and dashboards to track performance and compliance, as well as providing training and technical support to partners to promote strong information management practices across the consortium.
Duties and Responsibilities: The IM Officer's responsibilities include:
Data Collection, Database Management, and Analysis: Develop and enhance standardized data collection tools aligned with CCY’s processes, oversee the CCY Activity Info database, conduct data cleaning and validation, lead deduplication processes, and implement data security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security measures.
Information Systems Development: Collaborate with CCY IM and DRC IT to optimize information management systems, enhance interoperability between partner systems, and design user-friendly digital tools for data management.
Reporting, Visualization, and Communication: Produce accurate dashboards and analytical reports, present data-driven insights to stakeholders, and maintain communication with partner teams for smooth reporting and troubleshooting.
Capacity Building and Partner Support: Co-lead training sessions for partners, provide ongoing technical support, and promote a culture of information management within CCY and among partners.
Other: Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support consortium activities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong working capacity using R-studio or Python, with preference given to those with relevant expertise. A minimum of three years of experience working with a national NGO, international NGO, or UN agency is required. Excellent report writing skills, strong communication and analytical abilities, experience in coordinating diverse teams, and the ability to manage high workloads and deadlines are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate flexibility and the ability to manage stress effectively.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary technical knowledge and skills to perform the duties associated with information management and data analysis effectively.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience, particularly in roles involving information management, data analysis, or similar functions within a national NGO, international NGO, or UN agency. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in complex environments and managing data-related tasks efficiently.
Languages: Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is essential for this role. This bilingual requirement ensures effective communication with diverse stakeholders and partners involved in the consortium's activities.
Additional Notes: The contract length for this position is until July 31, 2026, and it is classified under the non-Management (H1) band. The start date is as soon as possible, and the duty station is in Sana'a, Yemen. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council’s National Terms of Employment.
