Job Overview:
The DTM-Reporting Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the DTM Reporting unit by assisting in various phases of assessment design, data analysis, and the reporting process. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in DTM data analysis and reporting, allowing the intern to gain practical skills while contributing to the workflow efficiency of the reporting team. The intern will work closely with the Database officer and will be involved in drafting and producing DTM products, preparing infographics, and ensuring effective communication with colleagues. The internship will last for three months, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, providing a structured environment for learning and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will support the drafting and production of all DTM products, including Flow Monitoring Snapshots and Quarterly Flow Monitoring reports. Responsibilities include assisting in research, copy editing, data merging, and providing contextual input on Afghanistan. The intern will also prepare infographics, graphs, and tables for reports, liaise with Information Management and Operations colleagues to verify data, and support the translation of documents into English, Dari, and Pashto. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or in a graduate program, or have completed a university degree within the last 12 months. A strong interest in reporting is essential, along with a working knowledge of English (both oral and written). Knowledge of Dari or Pashto is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and attention to detail in data management are also required. The candidate should be motivated to learn and work effectively in a cross-functional humanitarian team.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be in their final year of a bachelor's degree program or enrolled in a graduate program. Alternatively, candidates who have completed their university degree within the last 12 months are also eligible to apply. This educational background ensures that the intern has a foundational understanding of the principles of data analysis and reporting, which are critical for the role.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in reporting and data analysis. The internship is designed for individuals who are either in the final stages of their academic journey or have recently graduated, thus providing an entry-level opportunity to gain relevant experience in the field of humanitarian data management.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English is mandatory for this position, as the intern will be required to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms. Knowledge of Dari or Pashto is advantageous and will enhance the intern's ability to perform translation tasks and engage with local contexts effectively.

Additional Notes:
The internship is set for a duration of three months, with a structured schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Interns will receive a monthly stipend and will benefit from on-the-job learning, coaching, and capacity-building support throughout their internship. It is essential for the intern to be based in or able to travel to the Kabul office, ensuring their active participation in the team and its activities.
