Job Overview:
The Project Development and Reporting Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the development of results-based programs and projects within the IOM framework. This position involves close collaboration with the Chief of Mission, Programme Support Unit Coordinator, and various program managers to ensure that all project proposals and concept notes align with IOM's strategic priorities and donor expectations. The intern will assist in the preparation of donor reports, conduct research on funding opportunities, and maintain essential documentation related to project development and reporting. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn about project management in a humanitarian context and contribute to the mission's objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: supporting the development of results-based programs and projects, assisting in the review of resource requirements, documenting programmatic needs and gaps, contributing to the endorsement and submission process for project proposals, drafting donor reports in collaboration with project teams, conducting research on potential funding opportunities, maintaining donor profiles, preparing visibility materials and donor briefings, assisting in the maintenance of project development records, and supporting capacity-building initiatives related to project development and donor reporting. The intern may also be assigned additional duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or in a graduate program, or have completed a university degree within the last 12 months. A strong interest in the development of results-based programs and projects is essential, along with a working knowledge of English (both oral and written). Knowledge of Dari or Pashto is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and attention to detail in data management are also required. Candidates should be motivated to learn and work effectively in a cross-functional humanitarian team.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program or a graduate program related to international development, humanitarian assistance, or a similar field. Recent graduates who have completed their degree within the last 12 months are also eligible to apply. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of project development and reporting in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory for this internship, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in project development and reporting. Any relevant volunteer work, internships, or academic projects that showcase skills in research, writing, or data management will be beneficial. Languages:

The internship will provide a monthly stipend to support the intern during their time with IOM.
