Job Overview:
In this full-time, permanent role, the Team Leader will lead a team of Individual Support Specialists and Individual Support Workers to deliver the federally-funded Leaving Violence Payments program nationally. The position involves working from home during the hours of 8.30am to 5.30pm (WST) from Monday to Friday, reporting directly to the Service Manager. The role is specifically for residents of Western Australia, and the Team Leader will be responsible for driving high-performing teams to provide trauma-informed and person-centered support to victim survivors of intimate partner violence. The Team Leader will also collaborate with other Team Leaders to oversee day-to-day service operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and victim-survivor outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Team Leader will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and leadership to the team of practitioners, which includes coaching and performance management. They will oversee day-to-day service operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and will adjust resource allocations as needed to optimize service delivery. The Team Leader will act as the first point of escalation for approvals, service queries, and operational challenges. Additionally, they will maintain a strong focus on service quality, victim-survivor outcomes, and adherence to best practices, ensuring that the team is motivated and working towards achieving collective goals and program outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a three-year Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counselling, Community Services, Psychology, or a related field. They must also have professional registration with one of the following governing bodies: ACA, PACFA, AASW, or AHPRA. Extensive demonstrated experience in a leadership role within health, community, social services, or other relevant sectors is essential, ideally with a focus on family, domestic, and sexual violence. The role requires strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a high-performing team to achieve collective goals and client outcomes, along with experience in enhanced risk and needs assessment and safety planning.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a three-year Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counselling, Community Services, Psychology, or a related field. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of trauma-informed care and the specific needs of victim survivors of intimate partner violence.

Experience:
Candidates should possess extensive demonstrated experience in a leadership role, particularly within health, community, social services, or other relevant sectors. Experience focusing on family, domestic, and sexual violence is highly desirable, as is experience in enhanced risk and needs assessment and safety planning.
