This role involves developing and refining communication strategies, managing social media content, and producing high-quality communication materials such as blog articles, opinion pieces, and visual content. The consultant will also coordinate with various stakeholders to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all platforms and ensure that the project's website serves as a central hub for communications. The position requires a proactive approach to content creation and management, with a focus on maximizing engagement and impact through strategic communication efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties include developing and refining the communication strategy, maintaining a communications strategy tracker, coordinating social media posting schedules, producing communication materials, collaborating on visual identity development, ensuring consistent messaging, designing visual content, managing the project website, and supporting various project communications. Specific responsibilities involve overseeing communications related to the Landscape Study of Inclusive Business in Lao PDR, creating content plans for programs, developing strategies for video and photo material, preparing webinars, drafting blog posts, coordinating with communications teams, and supporting inclusive business promotion initiatives. The consultant will also be tasked with designing templates for case studies and toolkits, developing communication strategies for publishing materials, and supporting the communications of the Sustainable Business Network.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Business, International Affairs, International Management, Finance, Accountancy, Law, Public Policy, or a related field. A minimum of one year of experience in communications, social media management, brand management, and website maintenance is required. Desirable qualifications include experience working with the United Nations, particularly the United Nations Secretariat, and familiarity with inclusive business, social enterprise, and impact investment content. Candidates should also have experience in brand and communications management, developing digital assets, executing social media campaigns, and creating content for various media channels.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s Degree in relevant fields such as Business, International Affairs, International Management, Finance, Accountancy, Law, or Public Policy. This advanced degree is essential to ensure that the candidate has a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in international economic affairs and communication strategies.
Experience: The position requires at least one year of relevant experience in communications, social media management, brand management, and website maintenance.
