Job Overview:
The Planning and Analytics Consultant will play a crucial role in the Individual Giving (IG) team within the Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) at UNICEF. This position focuses on planning and validating IG activities, particularly in relation to fundraising performance. The consultant will be responsible for generating analyses of Individual Giving data, including Rich Data Metrics and Rich Legacy Metrics, and will analyze multiple data sources to support the development of a comprehensive understanding of the global individual giving landscape. The consultant will also define metrics aimed at long-term income growth and conduct root cause analyses of performance issues. This role requires collaboration with key stakeholders across various regions and country offices to enhance the use of data and business insights in fundraising efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's duties will include generating regular analyses of Individual Giving data, conducting root cause analyses of performance issues, and optimizing performance data from various sources into a unified performance management suite. The consultant will develop and implement performance metrics, track key issues and emerging trends, and conduct thorough business analyses to define and map current processes that contribute to global fundraising performance. Additionally, the consultant will review internal processes and assess actual versus potential performance in IG operations, collaborating with stakeholders to support data analyses and insights.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions that prioritize net revenue growth. A proven track record of profitable e-commerce or fundraising growth from strategic decisions is essential. In-depth knowledge and experience in data analysis techniques, including marketing metrics and retention-based metrics, are required. The consultant should also have excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, along with a passion for making a difference in children's lives.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or higher) in Business, Statistics, Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or higher) combined with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.

Experience:
A minimum of eight years of relevant professional work experience in business planning and analytics or related fields is required. Experience in managing large data sets and project analytics is also necessary for this position.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for this role.

Additional Notes:
The consultant will work remotely and may need to travel as required during the assignment, with travel costs covered separately by UNICEF. The consultant must adhere to UNICEF's travel policies and ensure they have valid travel and medical insurance. Payment will be made upon satisfactory completion of deliverables, and UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment if performance is unsatisfactory. Selected candidates will not be considered staff members and will not receive benefits typically provided to staff, such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage.
