Job Overview: The position of UX/UI Consultant for the Global Giving Platform (GGP 2.0) is crucial for UNICEF's Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) Section. The consultant will be responsible for leading the UX/UI design process for the GGP 2 fundraising platform and the Virtual Hub, ensuring a seamless donor experience and improving conversion rates across digital fundraising sites. This role involves collaborating with various teams to maximize digital performance through user-centered design and experimentation. The consultant will also oversee the transition from GGP 1.0 to GGP 2.0, ensuring that all aspects of the platform are optimized for user engagement and revenue generation. The consultant will utilize tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar to analyze user behavior and implement A/B testing to refine the donation process, ultimately enhancing the overall fundraising strategy for UNICEF.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will lead the end-to-end UX/UI process for the GGP 2 platform, focusing on designing and optimizing user paths to conversion. Responsibilities include planning and executing A/B tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure market readiness, managing the front-end performance of existing fundraising sites, and documenting UX/UI learnings for organizational learning. The consultant will also support the onboarding and roll-out of GGP 2.0, oversee website updates and donation form functionality, and promote a culture of evidence-based design across markets. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for ensuring platform-wide design consistency, adhering to UNICEF's branding and accessibility standards, and managing the transition from GGP 1.0 to GGP 2.0 without disrupting fundraising activities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in web design, UX/UI, marketing, computer science, engineering, technology, digital media, or related fields. A minimum of two years of progressive experience in web design and development is required, along with strong knowledge of UX/UI design principles. Experience in optimizing websites for conversions, particularly in large-scale digital ecommerce non-profit fundraising operations, is essential. Familiarity with CMS platforms and CRM systems is required, as well as proficiency with tools like Google Analytics and Power BI. Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Educational Background: A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as web design, UX/UI, marketing, computer science, engineering, technology, or digital media is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the role and contribute effectively to UNICEF's mission.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of progressive experience in web design and development. Candidates should have a strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and experience in optimizing websites for conversions or online customer acquisition. Experience in large-scale digital ecommerce non-profit fundraising operations, particularly those generating over 5 million USD in annual revenue, is considered an asset. Familiarity with A/B testing, user behavior analysis, and data-driven experimentation is also required, along with experience in managing multiple projects across different geographies.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset, which could enhance communication and collaboration within the diverse international environment of UNICEF.
Additional Notes: The consultancy contract will be based on the submission of deliverables and satisfactory performance. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment if deliverables are not met to the required standard or if there are delays. Selected candidates will not be considered staff members and will not receive benefits such as leave entitlements or medical insurance.
