Job Overview: The Senior Corruption Risk Management Consultant will play a crucial role in the Anti-Corruption for Trust in Lebanon project, identified by ID 0012235
This position is designed for a national consultant who will be responsible for providing expert advice and support in managing corruption risks within the framework of the project. The consultant will be expected to conduct thorough assessments of corruption risks, develop strategies to mitigate these risks, and provide recommendations for enhancing transparency and accountability in governance. The assignment will span 80 working days over a period of 5 months, with the potential for an extension of up to one additional year, depending on project needs and performance. The consultant will work closely with UNDP teams and local stakeholders to ensure that anti-corruption measures are effectively implemented and aligned with national priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Corruption Risk Management Consultant include, but are not limited to: conducting comprehensive corruption risk assessments; developing and implementing risk management strategies; providing technical assistance and capacity building to local partners; facilitating workshops and training sessions on corruption prevention; preparing detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations; collaborating with government agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to promote anti-corruption initiatives; monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented strategies; and ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and procedures throughout the consultancy period.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in anti-corruption, governance, or related fields. A proven track record of working on similar projects, particularly in the context of Lebanon or the Middle East, is essential. The consultant should demonstrate expertise in risk management, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and guidelines will be considered an asset.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, or a related field is required. Additional certifications or training in anti-corruption, governance, or risk management will be advantageous. Candidates with relevant academic qualifications and professional experience in the field will be prioritized.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of professional experience in anti-corruption, governance, or related areas. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in consultancy roles, is highly desirable. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies is essential. Familiarity with the socio-political context of Lebanon and previous work with UNDP or similar organizations will be beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory. Knowledge of French or other languages will be considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with a broader range of stakeholders and enhance the consultant's effectiveness in the role.
Additional Notes: This consultancy is classified as a national consultant position, and the contract duration is set for 80 working days over a period of 5 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional year based on performance and project requirements.
