Job Overview: The Information Technology Assistant - Common Premises plays a crucial role in providing essential technical support across all segments of IT operations within the UNDP Country Office. The assistant will act as the first line of technical support, addressing user service requests and incidents both in-person and remotely, ensuring timely resolutions and high user satisfaction. The assistant will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all IT hardware and software used by end-users, assist with account setups and password resets, and provide support for desktop and laptop troubleshooting across various operating systems. Additionally, the assistant will support and maintain video teleconferencing assets, monitor and maintain network devices, and assist with special infrastructure setups and projects. The role also involves reporting IT security breaches, following established incident management procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement processes to enhance user support. Other duties may include physical tasks such as lifting equipment and assisting with cabling or infrastructure projects as needed.
