Job Overview:
The position of Project Assistant involves providing technical assistance to the project "Sustainable Paths: Innovation, Income, and Conservation in the Field." The candidate will be responsible for various activities related to international technical cooperation initiatives, including the execution of processes throughout the lifecycle of these initiatives, such as identification, negotiation, implementation, and monitoring. The role requires planning, monitoring, and implementing projects and activities, as well as coordinating missions and events related to international technical cooperation. The candidate will also support knowledge dissemination and the production of technical documents, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with project partners. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining a focus on achieving project objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support in negotiations related to the implementation of international technical cooperation initiatives, including executing processes related to the lifecycle of these initiatives, analyzing the feasibility of proposals, and assisting in the identification and formulation of bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
  • Plan, monitor, and implement projects and activities of technical cooperation initiatives, including developing monitoring and evaluation instruments, tracking financial flows, producing reports on budget execution, and preparing analytical information on the implementation of international cooperation initiatives.
  • Plan and coordinate missions and events related to international technical cooperation, including organizing conferences, workshops, training sessions, and technical meetings, as well as managing logistics for national and international travel.
  • Support the dissemination of knowledge and production of technical documents, coordinating knowledge management, maintaining updated documentation, and proposing dissemination schemes for successful experiences in Brazilian South-South cooperation.
  • Assist in the flow of activities related to South-South cooperation by preparing analytical information on program development and supporting the elaboration of international technical cooperation programs linked to negotiations with other countries and international organizations. The incumbent may perform other functions deemed necessary for the successful operation of the project.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience for candidates with a high school diploma or 4 years for those with a university degree. Candidates should have proven experience in identifying, developing, executing, and/or monitoring international cooperation projects for development. Desired qualifications include a master's degree or postgraduate studies in project management or related fields, experience in implementing South-South technical cooperation, negotiation of international cooperation projects, and knowledge of pesticide registration in the federal public administration. Experience in organizing events and managing technical missions is also preferred, along with a minimum of one year of experience in federal public administration.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a complete high school diploma (secondary education) as a minimum requirement. A university degree in International Relations, Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Communication, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Higher educational qualifications will be given due consideration during the selection process.

Experience:
Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience if they hold a high school diploma, or at least 4 years of experience if they possess a university degree. This experience should be in the context of international cooperation for development, specifically in project identification, formulation, execution, and monitoring.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English is required for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders involved in international technical cooperation initiatives.
