Job Overview:
The Implementation Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications, specifically within the Division of Human Health. This position is designed to provide programmatic and operational support for critical projects under the Rays of Hope Initiative, which aims to enhance health outcomes through the application of nuclear techniques. The Implementation Assistant will work under the supervision of the Divisional Director, ensuring that projects are executed within the planned timelines and budget constraints. The role requires a proactive approach to managing tasks related to the program area and assisting the divisional Administrative Associate with financial matters. The assistant will also be responsible for logistical arrangements, scheduling meetings, and drafting necessary documentation, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the division's operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Implementation Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative and logistical tasks, including but not limited to: serving as the primary point of contact for logistical arrangements; providing administrative assistance using IAEA electronic systems such as AIPS and iProc; coordinating and implementing internal and external meetings, seminars, and events; drafting documents and managing clearance processes; making travel arrangements for staff and consultants; preparing travel authorizations and claims; monitoring funds and expenditures for assigned projects; drafting standard correspondence; formatting letters, reports, and technical documents; and collaborating with other support staff to ensure smooth operations within the executive office. The assistant will also be expected to input, retrieve, and assemble information from databases, demonstrating proficiency in using both commercial and IAEA-specific software applications.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess completed secondary education and a minimum of five years of general office support experience, with some experience in an international environment. The role requires proficiency in drafting and formatting reports and correspondence, as well as experience in events and travel management. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills in English, with knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) considered an asset. Administrative skills testing may be part of the selection process to ensure candidates meet the required standards.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have completed secondary education. The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at EUR 57,876 for full-time positions, with adjustments made for part-time roles.
