Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the Helios+ project, which aims to facilitate the integration of third-country nationals into the labor market in the South Aegean region of Greece. This position requires close collaboration with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to ensure the successful execution of project activities. The coordinator will be responsible for developing methodologies, creating tools and materials, and overseeing the implementation of standard operating procedures to guarantee the quality of services provided. The role also involves monitoring project activities, ensuring effective communication with implementing partners, and representing the project in relevant meetings. The successful candidate will be expected to continuously assess project needs and report to senior management, contributing to informed decision-making and the overall success of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will have a variety of duties and responsibilities, including: supervising and providing guidance to direct reports; developing methodologies and creating tools and materials for project implementation; monitoring the quality of services provided by the project team and implementing partners; collaborating with other project components and IOM departments to ensure efficient provision of activities; coordinating communication with implementing partners; ensuring timely collection and submission of data and reports; representing the project in meetings with stakeholders; and participating in drafting reports to donors. The coordinator will also be responsible for performing any other duties as assigned by senior management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a combination of knowledge, education, training, and experience that enables them to perform the essential functions of the position. This includes strong computer literacy in standard software applications and a commitment to humanitarian principles. A valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience is considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate strong work ethics and a commitment to the values of the organization, including integrity, professionalism, and empathy.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include a High School Diploma with a minimum of four years of relevant working experience, or a University degree in fields such as psychology, social work, law, sociology, social anthropology, management, business administration, public administration, or any related field from an accredited academic institution with a minimum of two years of work experience. A Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields will be considered an advantage. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least two years of previous work experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment. Experience in project management and coordination, particularly in the context of migration or integration programs, is highly desirable. The ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek, both oral and written, is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French and Spanish, is considered a plus. Language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Additional Notes:
This position is subject to local recruitment, and only candidates holding a valid residence and work permit for Greece will be eligible for consideration.
