Job Overview:
The position of Responsable Assurance involves overseeing and managing the insurance coverage of the main risks generated by the activities of Action contre la Faim France. Reporting to the Director of Audit, Risk, and Compliance, the role requires the implementation of insurance coverage for Action contre la Faim France, management of ACF-France's insurance contracts, and providing advice to various stakeholders within ACF France and ACFIN on insurance-related matters. Additionally, the role includes supporting country offices in managing local insurance contracts. This position is crucial for ensuring that the organization is adequately protected against potential risks and liabilities, thereby enabling it to focus on its mission of combating hunger effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement the insurance coverage for Action contre la Faim France, ensuring that all necessary policies are in place to mitigate risks associated with the organization's activities.
  • Manage and oversee the contracts of insurance for ACF-France, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Provide expert advice to various stakeholders within ACF France and ACFIN regarding insurance matters, helping them understand their options and obligations.
  • Collaborate with country offices to assist in the management of local insurance contracts, ensuring that they are tailored to the specific needs and risks of each location.
  • Analyze and interpret insurance contracts, claims, and risks, providing insights that inform decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies for insurance contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Maintain effective communication with insurers and other relevant parties, fostering strong relationships that facilitate smooth operations.
  • Ensure timely processing of insurance claims and maintain accurate records of all insurance-related activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the organization's insurance needs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a degree in insurance or a related field and possess at least five years of experience in the insurance sector, preferably as a broker. A strong understanding of personal insurance and ideally property insurance is required. Candidates should be capable of analyzing and comprehending insurance contracts, claims, and risks, as well as implementing negotiation techniques effectively. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, along with a strong emphasis on relationship management with insurers. Candidates should demonstrate rigor, organization, and responsiveness, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines consistently.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in insurance, finance, business administration, or a related field is required for this position. Advanced certifications or additional qualifications in insurance or risk management would be advantageous and may enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
The role requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the insurance industry. Experience as an insurance broker or in a similar capacity is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing insurance contracts and navigating complex insurance landscapes, particularly in an international context.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, as the role involves working in an international environment. Proficiency in French is also essential, given the location and the primary language of the organization. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

Additional Notes:
This is a full-time position classified as a cadre (executive) role with a permanent contract (CDI). The position is based in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), France. The salary range is between 37,000 and 44,000 euros gross annually, depending on experience, with a seniority bonus applicable after three years of service at the headquarters. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year and 21 days of RTT (reduced working time). Health coverage and other benefits include 80% coverage by ACF, salary maintenance provisions for illness, maternity, and paternity, as well as transportation allowances covering 50% of the commuting costs. Employees also receive meal vouchers with a 60% contribution from the organization. Telework is permitted for all employees within metropolitan territory, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and events, which may occur up to three days per month.
