Job Overview: The Field Coordinator will act as the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director (CD) by delegation for the Metropolitan Area of Port-au-Prince (ZMPP) in managing field activities. Although the Port-au-Prince base does not exist, this delegation is limited to project management and security management. The Field Coordinator will propose strategies based on the geopolitical and humanitarian context for the ZMPP and ensure their implementation once validated. They will control and guarantee that projects are conducted in accordance with the charter of Solidarités International and comply with internal and contractual procedures. The Field Coordinator will mobilize the necessary material and financial resources for the effective execution of programs and supervise their management. They will coordinate the teams in place and ensure their safety in their area of assignment. In Port-au-Prince, as the base also serves as coordination, the Field Coordinator will play a dual role of security guarantor for all teams alongside the CD and security manager. They will be the direct and privileged interlocutor of the CD.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Field Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Oversee the management and implementation of projects under the supervision of three project managers (SAME/EHA).
Ensure operational security management in the ZMPP area and formalize the access strategy for new areas.
Support the development of new project proposals in the area, particularly for HIP 2
Collaborate internally to redefine roles and responsibilities with the program coordinator, MEAL, support coordinators, and the CD to establish a new workflow.
Contribute to the program strategy, quality, and SERA in the ZMPP.
Strengthen relationships with local and international partners.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and manage risks associated with the volatile security situation in Haiti, particularly in Port-au-Prince, which is categorized as Level 4 due to gang presence.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
A Master's degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector.
At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar position.
Strong technical skills in humanitarian context analysis, program coordination, development, monitoring, and evaluation.
Ability to propose human, financial, and logistical dimensions for the intervention area and its organization.
Proven ability to ensure the safety of teams and assets in the assigned area under the supervision of the CD.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a Master's degree in a relevant field related to humanitarian work, international relations, or a similar discipline that equips them with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform effectively in this role.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 3-4 years in a similar position that involves field coordination and project management in challenging environments.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, while proficiency in English is appreciated and considered an asset for effective communication with international partners and stakeholders.

The role is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where the living conditions include accommodation in a guest house with individual rooms in a secure compound. The organization offers a competitive salary starting from EUR 3080 gross per month, which includes a base salary and a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly, along with a monthly per diem of USD 75
SI also covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. During the mission, a work and leave alternation system is in place, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, with additional rest days accrued for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including dental and ophthalmological care, as well as repatriation. Vaccination and malaria treatment costs are reimbursed. The organization emphasizes a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse, particularly sexual exploitation and abuse, and is committed to equitable employment practices.
