Job Overview:
The internship is based at the National Association and will take place within the Communication - Mobilization service of Handicap International, located at the headquarters in Lyon. The internship is designed to support the daily missions of the service, with a significant focus on organizing the deployment of the Shoe Pyramids. The intern will assist the Communication - Mobilization service in their awareness-raising actions and various projects. The mission will run from January 5, 2026, to July 3, 2026, for a duration of six months. The Shoe Pyramids serve as a key moment for citizen awareness and mobilization for Handicap International, inviting citizens, students, employees, supporters, and politicians to express their support for the causes championed by the organization. The internship will involve two main areas: event and logistical support for the preparation and execution of the Shoe Pyramids deployments, and public engagement through guided tours and awareness-raising activities during events. Regular travel (approximately twice a month) will be required for these activities, providing opportunities for enriching interactions with diverse audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the organization and coordination of the Shoe Pyramids tour, including logistical support and coordination tasks such as creating timelines, managing materials, and coordinating volunteers and partners.
  • Assisting in the strategy for partner outreach, including researching and coordinating events, following up on commitments, and maintaining communication and engagement with partners.
  • Participating in deployments across France, providing support for overall coordination and engaging in awareness-raising activities with various audiences, including public speaking and guided tours.
  • Contributing to the launch of the Shoe Pyramids 2026 in Lyon.
  • Participating in the daily operations of the mobilization service.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in event project management (master's level). They should possess strong analytical and synthesis skills, adaptability, organizational skills, and the ability to manage priorities effectively. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, along with a passion for teamwork and the ability to lead guided tours. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT tools is required, and a valid driver's license (permis B) is necessary. Experience in the NGO sector would be an advantage. Educational Background:
A master's level education in event project management or a related field is required for this position. Candidates must also have a mandatory internship agreement issued by a French educational or training institution.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have relevant experience in project management, particularly in event organization. While specific years of experience are not mandated, familiarity with the NGO sector and previous involvement in similar roles would be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as the internship will be conducted in a French-speaking environment. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered a plus, enhancing communication with diverse audiences.
