Job Overview:
The Product Manager, Program Data Systems will be an integral part of the METAL team, which is responsible for delivering products that facilitate the day-to-day implementation of CRRD Programs. This role involves overseeing the collection, management, and visualization of key performance indicators (KPIs) that are essential for higher-level decision-making. The Product Manager will manage a small portfolio of Program Data Systems, ensuring that they effectively collect, manage, and visualize Program/MEAL indicator data while integrating data from various sources. The individual in this role will act as the product owner, consulting with a diverse range of stakeholders to establish a clear vision for the products, develop roadmaps, and maintain backlogs. They will coordinate product roll-outs with MEAL Technical and Country Program teams and report on product uptake. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, possess strong problem-solving skills, and excel in analytical thinking, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Product Manager will have several key responsibilities including: serving as the product owner for METAL’s Program Data Systems, defining the vision, strategy, and measurable success criteria; managing the end-to-end product lifecycle from requirements gathering and design through development, rollout, and scaling; developing and maintaining product roadmaps, backlogs, and release plans aligned with CRRD data and MEAL priorities; leading agile ceremonies and coordinating with Project Managers, Developers, and QA Analysts to ensure quality and timely product releases; ensuring robust, secure, and optimized data system integrations; engaging a broad range of stakeholders to define requirements and validate solutions; collaborating with the MEAL Global Practice Lead to ensure adherence to technical data standards; coordinating product roll-outs and ensuring effective user onboarding; communicating product performance, risks, and progress to leadership; partnering with MEAL and data governance colleagues to ensure data accuracy and compliance; defining and monitoring product-level data quality indicators; supporting the design and implementation of data pipelines and visualization tools; and contributing to the strategic direction of the Program Data Systems portfolio.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, International Development, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing data systems or digital product portfolios is required, ideally within humanitarian, development, or social impact organizations. Proven experience in leading end-to-end product delivery, including defining vision, managing roadmaps, and ensuring successful implementation is essential. A demonstrated understanding of MEAL processes, program indicators, and data management practices in international contexts is desired.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or International Development. A Master’s degree is preferred, indicating a higher level of expertise and knowledge in the field.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing data systems or digital product portfolios. Candidates should have proven experience in leading product delivery from inception to implementation, showcasing their ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a timely manner. Experience in humanitarian, development, or social impact organizations is highly desirable, as it provides context for the challenges and needs of the role.

Languages:
