Job Overview:

This internship is expected to last between 2 to 6 months, with a full-time commitment required. Interns will work under the supervision of experienced staff members, engaging in a variety of tasks that contribute to the UN's mission of sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region. The role is primarily focused on qualitative analysis and research, requiring interns to write reports, prepare presentations, and synthesize findings from various sources. Interns will also have the opportunity to collaborate with experts in the field, enhancing their understanding of transport policies and their implications for sustainable development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to: writing qualitative briefs and reports on international railway transport issues, evaluating the effectiveness of policies related to sustainable development, supporting the preparation of country reports for the ESCAP region, collecting and analyzing data from primary and secondary sources, coordinating with Transport Division experts, reviewing and compiling data, preparing presentations on findings, and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks within the Division. Interns are expected to familiarize themselves with the operational aspects of the UN and contribute to the overall objectives of the Transport Division.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet specific criteria, including being enrolled in or having completed a graduate program or being in the final year of a bachelor's degree program. No prior work experience is required, but candidates should possess relevant training, education, or skills that would benefit the UN during their internship. Educational Background:
