Job Overview:
The CCS Information Management (IM) Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Cash Consortium of Sudan, responsible for overseeing all aspects of information management within the consortium. This position entails managing the CommCare database, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and standardization across all program components. The IM Coordinator will also be tasked with monitoring deduplication processes, supporting case management, and ensuring that data flows are coordinated and consistent among partners. The role requires the development of procedures and tracking tools to facilitate routine Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities, as well as delivering training and guidance to partners on MEL practices. The IM Coordinator will act as the main liaison for data-related requests from partners, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This position demands strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills, as well as a deep understanding of the humanitarian landscape in Sudan.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The CCS IM Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: 1) Collaborating with the CCS Secretariat to refine and implement a localized MEL strategy; 2) Managing and maintaining the CCS CommCare system and consortium databases; 3) Leading the weekly deduplication case management process; 4) Acting as the main MEL focal point for data updates and consistency; 5) Supporting the design and programming of data collection tools; 6) Providing regular support and troubleshooting for partner MEL teams; 7) Ensuring compliance with consortium-wide MEL standards; 8) Contributing to the preparation of reports for donors and stakeholders; 9) Supporting the socialization and use of dashboards across partners; 10) Designing and delivering training materials to strengthen partners’ understanding of MEL processes; 11) Ensuring adherence to data protection and safeguarding standards; 12) Documenting IM processes and producing regular updates to inform adaptive management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BA/S or equivalent in Social Sciences, Data/Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field is highly advantageous. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning roles, with at least three years specifically in information management and data systems administration within humanitarian or development contexts. Experience working with international donors and knowledge of donor reporting requirements is essential. Proficiency in information management systems and data collection tools, particularly CommCare, is required, along with strong database management skills and advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a BA/S or equivalent in relevant fields such as Social Sciences, Data/Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics. A postgraduate degree in a related field is considered a strong advantage, indicating a higher level of expertise and understanding of the complexities involved in monitoring and evaluation within humanitarian contexts.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of progressive experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning roles, with at least three years of specific experience in information management, case management, and data systems administration. Candidates should have demonstrated experience working with international donors and knowledge of compliance frameworks, as well as proven expertise in managing information systems and data collection tools. Experience in emergency and complex crisis contexts is also essential, particularly in monitoring and reporting on program indicators for humanitarian interventions.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with diverse stakeholders is crucial. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

The contract duration for this consultancy position is seven months, with the possibility of extension based on funding availability.
