Job Overview:
The Senior Diagnostics Advisor (SDA) is an advanced subject matter expert responsible for providing technical leadership in diagnostics for FHI 360 projects. This role involves overseeing operations, managing teams, and serving as the primary representative for the program. The SDA will prepare project and donor reports, draft publications, and lead the development of best practice documents. The position requires strong collaboration with local governments, international donors, and civil society partners, as well as the integration of work plans and budgets across various sectors. The SDA will also support the implementation of evidence-based interventions and the adoption of new technologies and practices, ensuring comprehensive coverage and universal access to diagnostic services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The SDA will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of technical strategies aimed at strengthening diagnostic networks. This includes conducting assessments, capacity-building initiatives, and developing strategies to enhance the capacity of diagnostic networks. The SDA will oversee the quality of technical assistance and interventions, ensuring alignment with national action plans and external evaluation reports. Responsibilities also include managing technical staff, contributing to country-specific work plans and budgets, and ensuring adherence to diagnostic technical standards. The SDA will support business development activities, maintain relationships with donors, and represent FHI 360 at technical meetings and conferences. Additionally, the role involves managing staff training and performance, as well as supporting knowledge management and marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree or its international equivalent in health, human development, clinical diagnostics, or a related field. Project Management (PM) Certification is preferred. The role requires in-depth functional knowledge of clinical diagnostics, diagnostic networks, and quality management systems, as well as familiarity with the Global Health security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Agenda. Strong public relations, policy representation, and diplomacy skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships with local communities and government officials. Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate and collaborate with others are also required.

Educational Background:
A Master’s Degree or its equivalent in a relevant field such as health, human development, or clinical diagnostics is required for this position. Additional certifications, particularly in project management, are advantageous and may enhance a candidate's qualifications.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in designing and evaluating programs or services. Candidates should have experience managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and may involve international scope. Demonstrated experience in sector-specific project management, strategic planning, and capacity-building is essential. Experience operating in challenging environments is also preferred, as is familiarity with the rules and regulations associated with international development and NGOs.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in French considered an advantage. Additional language skills are beneficial and may enhance a candidate's competitiveness for the role.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in the United States and may require travel exceeding 25%. The expected salary range for this role is between USD 115,000 and 155,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
