SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that has been operational for over 40 years. The organization is dedicated to providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters, focusing on meeting basic needs such as food, water, and shelter. Job Overview:
The Reporting & Communications Officer (RCO) will work under the supervision of the Grants Manager and is primarily responsible for producing and synthesizing high-quality reports, proposals, and assessment documents for external distribution. The RCO will collaborate closely with the Grants and Partnerships Coordinator, the Grants Manager, and various program and support teams within the mission. A significant aspect of the role involves enhancing internal communication at the coordination level and with field bases. Given the sensitive nature of external communication in the current context, the RCO will also contribute to designing a communication strategy aimed at external audiences. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to donor guidelines, and the ability to align various teams and stakeholders to ensure consistency in proposal development and project documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The RCO's duties include producing high-quality reports and proposals, synthesizing information from various sources, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines, and managing deadlines. The RCO will also be responsible for improving internal communication, coordinating with field bases, and developing a communication strategy for external audiences. The role demands strong organizational skills to manage diverse inputs and create cohesive project documents. Additionally, the RCO will represent SI at forums and with donors, requiring excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills. The position also involves navigating security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security constraints and adapting to a challenging working environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent writing skills and have prior experience in writing proposals and reports. A foundational understanding of donor organizations such as DG ECHO, USAID, CDCS, AFD, SDC, or UHF is essential. Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to effectively represent SI at various forums. The candidate should also demonstrate diplomacy and the capacity to work in a multicultural context, showcasing oral and written communication skills that allow for clear and persuasive expression of ideas.

Educational Background:
A degree in political science, humanitarian action, development, international relations, or law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the legal frameworks that govern it.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a first experience in writing proposals and reports, indicating that some level of professional experience in a related field is necessary. This experience should ideally include familiarity with donor guidelines and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a project environment.

Languages:
Professional fluency in spoken and written English and French is mandatory. Knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in the local context and with various stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The position is a salaried role with a starting salary of EUR 1850 gross per month, which includes a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 700 is provided, along with coverage for accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the assignment location. The organization implements a system of alternating work and time off, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, with a USD 850 break allowance. Expatriates also benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, surgical, dental, and repatriation costs. Living conditions are favorable, with offices and guesthouses located in the city center, providing access to various amenities and services.
