Job Overview: The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in leading the implementation of Atlas Logistique's components of humanitarian interventions in Gaza. This position requires a strategic approach to logistics management, ensuring that the operations align with the needs of the humanitarian community. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of logistics programming, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. The role involves close coordination with partners, stakeholders, and authorities to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian aid delivery. The Operations Manager will also be tasked with identifying funding opportunities to sustain operations and will need to adapt to the dynamic context of humanitarian logistics in Gaza.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Operations Manager will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Developing and overseeing logistics programming in Gaza, ensuring alignment with humanitarian needs and strategic frameworks.
Managing the operational design and monitoring of logistics projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
Analyzing the humanitarian community's needs to fill gaps in logistics services.
Participating in coordination mechanisms and representing the organization to authorities.
Identifying new funding opportunities and leading fundraising efforts.
Ensuring internal coordination with relevant departments such as HR, finance, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security.
Supervising logistics teams in Gaza and facilitating capacity-building initiatives.
Overseeing service provision to user organizations and ensuring accountability.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within humanitarian emergency response contexts. A strong understanding of logistics is preferred, along with experience in external representation and team management. Candidates should demonstrate skills in partnership development and management, as well as capacity building of local actors. The ideal candidate will exhibit patience, creativity, and a collaborative spirit, essential for working in challenging environments.
Educational Background: While specific educational qualifications are not detailed, candidates are typically expected to have a relevant degree in fields such as humanitarian studies, logistics, project management, or a related discipline. The contract includes various benefits such as unemployment insurance for EU nationals, a pension scheme, medical coverage, and repatriation insurance. The salary starts at €2869 gross per month, with additional per diem allowances based on the location of deployment. While in Gaza, a hardship allowance of €500 per month will be provided, and staff will receive 25 days of paid leave per year. The position is unaccompanied, and housing will be provided collectively by the organization. If the candidate is a resident of the country, a local package will be offered.
