Job Overview:
The Program Associate position at WFP is crucial for overseeing and supporting cash and food assistance programs, as well as resilience and livelihood activities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of six years of relevant work experience in fields such as Engineering, Economy, Social Sciences, or Political Science. They should have a proven track record of working with technical teams and have practical experience in resilience and livelihood projects. Experience in relationship building and community engagement is essential, as is expertise in grant and proposal writing in English. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Educational Background:
A desirable educational background for this position includes a bachelor's degree in agriculture, engineering, economy, social sciences, political science, or a related field. Alternatively, a minimum diploma in similar areas is acceptable. The educational qualifications should reflect a strong foundation in the relevant disciplines that support the responsibilities of the Program Associate role.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of six years of professional experience in relevant fields. This experience should include working with governmental partners and engaging in community-based projects.
