Job Overview: The Program Associate position at WFP is crucial for overseeing and supporting cash and food assistance programs, as well as resilience and livelihood activities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Associate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
Implementing WFP policies and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
Providing technical support for the development and execution of various program activities.

Collaborating with internal teams to facilitate effective project implementation and monitoring.
Supporting capacity building initiatives for WFP staff and partners.

Organizing and participating in meetings with stakeholders, producing reports to enhance communication and coordination.
Identifying and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders, including private sector entities and governmental bodies. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of six years of relevant work experience in fields such as Engineering, Economy, Social Sciences, or Political Science. They should have a proven track record of working with technical teams and have practical experience in resilience and livelihood projects. Experience in relationship building and community engagement is essential, as is expertise in grant and proposal writing in English. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Educational Background: A desirable educational background for this position includes a bachelor's degree in agriculture, engineering, economy, social sciences, political science, or a related field. Alternatively, a minimum diploma in similar areas is acceptable.
