Job Overview:
The National Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the PROSPECTS Partnership, which aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of forcibly displaced persons and host communities in Iraq. This position requires a proactive individual who can provide comprehensive program support, ensuring effective coordination with various stakeholders involved in the project. The coordinator will be responsible for facilitating communication among partners, managing project timelines, and ensuring that all activities align with the ILO's rules and regulations. The role involves analyzing socio-economic data, developing project work plans, and monitoring the progress of interventions to ensure that objectives are met efficiently and effectively. The coordinator will also be expected to engage with local partners and government agencies to promote collaboration and enhance the impact of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Project Coordinator will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: reviewing and analyzing national development plans and socio-economic data to identify areas for technical cooperation; providing timely and accurate information for operational decision-making; collaborating with the PROSPECTS team to design and revise annual work plans and budget proposals; promoting gender equality and non-discrimination in project activities; monitoring project progress and reporting on outcomes; participating in missions to assess program implementation; assisting in resource programming and budget management; facilitating interagency meetings and workshops; drafting official correspondence and reports; and overseeing the work of staff involved in program-related tasks. The coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are executed in accordance with the ILO's standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in business administration, public administration, operations management, education, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of two years of professional experience in program and project planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation, preferably within the humanitarian, development, or educational sectors. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are essential for this role. Familiarity with results-based management principles and the programming cycle is highly desirable, as is knowledge of financial regulations relevant to project management.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a first-level university degree in a relevant field such as business administration, public administration, operations management, or education. This foundational education is crucial for understanding the complexities of project management and the socio-economic context in which the ILO operates.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of professional work experience in program and project planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation. This experience should ideally be within sectors related to humanitarian aid, development, or education, providing the candidate with a solid understanding of the challenges and dynamics involved in these fields. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Languages:
Candidates must have excellent knowledge of Arabic and Kurdish, which are essential for effective communication within the local context.
