Job Overview: The National ProjectCoordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the PROSPECTS Partnership, which aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of forcibly displaced persons and host communities in Iraq. This position involves providing program support for various activities under the PROSPECTS initiative, ensuring effective coordination with project partners in Erbil, and facilitating communication and collaboration among stakeholders. The coordinator will be responsible for monitoring project progress, analyzing socio-economic data, and preparing reports to inform decision-making. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while also being part of a team. The incumbent will be expected to engage with local partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote the project's objectives and ensure timely delivery of interventions in line with ILO standards and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities: The National Project Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: reviewing and analyzing national development plans and socio-economic data; identifying technical cooperation areas and providing written analyses to the Project Manager; ensuring accurate reporting on program and budget matters; collaborating with the PROSPECTS team to design and revise annual work plans; promoting gender equality and non-discrimination in project activities; monitoring project implementation and progress; preparing budget estimates and revisions; participating in interagency meetings; drafting official correspondence and reports; and overseeing the work of staff involved in program-related tasks. The coordinator will also be responsible for conducting site visits, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that project activities align with the ILO's strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in business administration, public administration, operations management, education, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of two years of professional experience in program or project planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation is required, preferably within the humanitarian, development, or educational sectors. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Knowledge of results-based management principles and the programming cycle is also important for this role.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is a first-level university degree in a relevant field such as business administration, public administration, operations management, or education.
