Job Overview:
The ICT Associate plays a crucial role in implementing ICT policies and standards within the organization. This position involves providing ICT and administrative support services, as well as daily technical assistance to staff. The ICT Associate will report directly to the International Operations Manager and will be responsible for managing the organization's resources effectively. The role requires a proactive approach to support the implementation of ICT management systems and strategies, ensuring compliance with corporate information technology standards. The ICT Associate will also be involved in managing data, information, and workflow, which is essential for the smooth operation of the organization. This position is vital for enhancing the efficiency of the organization's operations and ensuring that staff have the necessary technical support to perform their duties effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The ICT Associate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: supporting the implementation of ICT management systems and strategies; ensuring compliance with corporate information technology standards; providing input to the mapping of processes and alignment with standard operating procedures; managing contract negotiations and vendor management; supporting the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to improve business results and client services; ensuring the effective functioning of CO hardware and software packages; assisting with routine repairs and application management; maintaining supplies inventory; monitoring server traffic and performance; providing support for backing up and restoring files, as well as virus prevention; ensuring ICT security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security through control of administrative rights; supporting network administration, including establishing offsite backups and restoration procedures; troubleshooting network problems; providing administrative support by maintaining CO databases; facilitating knowledge management; participating in interagency working groups; and preparing statistical reports as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess completed Secondary Level Education as a minimum requirement. A University Degree in Computer Science is desirable. Relevant certifications in hardware and software management, such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), are also required. Candidates should have a strong background in network administration, support for hardware and software platforms, and telecommunications facilities. A good knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications, PC/LAN operating systems, corporate ICT security, and viral protection systems is essential. Experience in client support, such as working in a Help Desk or User Support Unit, is also beneficial. The ability to provide input to business processes re-engineering and the implementation of new systems is a key qualification for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completed Secondary Level Education as a minimum. A University Degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desirable, as it provides the foundational knowledge necessary for the technical aspects of the role. Candidates with relevant certifications in ICT management and support will have an advantage in the selection process.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience in the field of ICT. This experience should include network administration, support for the management of hardware and software platforms, and telecommunications facilities. Familiarity with Windows-based applications and corporate ICT security systems is crucial. Experience in client support roles, such as Help Desk or User Support, is also important, as it demonstrates the ability to assist users effectively and manage technical issues as they arise.

Languages:
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.
