Job Overview:
The logistics-officer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Officer (Funds Management) will play a crucial role in the Yemen Country Office by managing the supply chain financial resources. This position involves overseeing the Funds Management function, providing analytics, and contributing to the overall supply chain operations. The incumbent will work closely with various units to ensure that the supply chain effectively meets the food assistance needs of beneficiaries and service provision requirements for partners. The role requires a proactive approach to developing and implementing supply chain plans, procedures, and operations that align with the Country Office's strategies and corporate standards. The Logistics Officer will also be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, preparing reports, and collaborating with counterparts to promote an integrated supply chain approach.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties including: contributing to the development and implementation of supply chain plans and procedures; conducting country context analyses and market assessments; managing end-to-end operational supply chains; collecting and analyzing supply chain data; preparing reports and dashboards; collaborating with other functions to promote an integrated supply chain approach; monitoring supply chain activities for compliance; guiding support staff; contributing to emergency response operations; standardizing funds management processes; supervising payment processing; conducting financial planning activities; monitoring and reporting on funds utilization; implementing corporate financial tools; ensuring accurate financial tracking during project closures; preparing project documents and funding proposals; and participating in governance forums to provide advice on funds status and resource utilization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, a first university degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training may be acceptable. The position requires a total of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of professional experience in supply chain information systems, particularly Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Experience in budget preparation, implementation, and monitoring is essential, along with demonstrated experience in supervising small to medium-sized teams. Candidates should also have experience in supporting analytical work on supply chain strategy and implementation, designing operational plans, and troubleshooting operational issues.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, or Finance. A first university degree may be acceptable if accompanied by additional relevant work experience and training. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of supply chain management and financial oversight within the humanitarian context.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 1 year of professional experience in using supply chain information systems, including ERP applications. Candidates should have a proven track record in budget management, operational analysis, and team supervision. Experience in designing and implementing supply chain strategies and resolving operational challenges is highly desirable, as it will contribute to the effectiveness of the role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Arabic is also required. These language skills are essential for effective communication within the organization and with stakeholders in the region. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory for this position.

This position is a fixed-term contract at the NOA level, with an initial duration of 12 months, which is renewable based on performance and organizational needs.
