Job Overview:
The Private Sector Partnership (PSP) Assistant (Donor Communications) position is crucial within the UNHCR's Private Sector Partnerships team in Indonesia. The primary function of this role is to design, implement, and develop the donor communications and engagement program aimed at strengthening donor loyalty. The assistant will work closely with the Senior PSP Assistant for Donor Communications to create compelling content for fundraising appeals targeted at specific donor segments. This role requires a donor-centric approach to effectively engage and retain donors, ensuring that communication strategies are tailored to the unique behaviors and preferences of different donor personas. The assistant will also be responsible for producing regular donor reports to enhance retention and loyalty, as well as monitoring outsourced vendor services related to donor communications. The position is designed to contribute to raising UNHCR's brand awareness in Indonesia and improving public perceptions of refugees, thereby supporting the organization's fundraising efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Private Sector Partnership (PSP) Assistant include:
  • Supporting the Senior PSP Assistant in designing content for individual giving and public-private partnerships (PPH) to create effective fundraising appeals.
  • Collaborating with the Senior PSP Assistant to produce regular donor reports that enhance donor retention and loyalty.
  • Implementing various communication tactics tailored to different donor segments based on their specific donation behaviors.
  • Working closely with the Individual Giving team to develop and implement donor engagement strategies that drive value for donors.
  • Liaising with outsourced vendors to monitor and review their performance in delivering donor communication services.
  • Ensuring that donor communications are produced and delivered on schedule with effective messaging.
  • Developing innovative ideas for donor communications and fundraising appeals to raise funds from existing donors and improve engagement.
  • Promoting UNHCR campaign goals to engage active donors and supporters.
  • Assisting in the implementation of donor servicing and communications to provide best-in-class donor care. 1
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress against work plans, budgets, and targets. 1
  • Managing donor databases and ensuring data accuracy for effective donor care and analysis.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Private Sector Partnership (PSP) Assistant position include:
  • Completion of a High School Diploma or a University degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience for candidates with a High School Diploma, or no experience required for candidates with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in communication within a corporate, NGO, or UN agency environment is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to write clearly and effectively about complex issues for a range of audiences.
  • Commitment to customer journey principles and a track record in related areas.
  • Experience in designing and delivering marketing communication strategies, particularly through donor loyalty programs.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent Open Office software.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia. 1

Educational Background:
