Job Overview:
The position of IT Professional within the IMF's Information Technology Department (ITD) is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT solutions and services. The ITD is responsible for managing critical IT systems, operations, and infrastructure, ensuring they perform at target levels while maintaining security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and alignment with business priorities. The role involves working in various areas such as Application Services, IT Project Management, Information Security, Data and Economics, AI & GenAI, Scientific Computing & Computational Economics, IT Strategy & Architecture, and IT Infrastructure. Each area has specific functions, including managing application lifecycles, overseeing project management processes, establishing security policies, leveraging data for economic modeling, and ensuring the design and support of technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to the ongoing support and satisfaction of business partners across the Fund, ensuring that IT initiatives deliver intended business outcomes and provide high value for money.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Professional will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: managing the operation, maintenance, and upgrading of IMF applications; conducting business analysis and application design; ensuring adherence to project management best practices; managing program/project scope, resources, and timelines; establishing and executing information security policies and training; leveraging advanced computing capabilities for economic modeling; promoting alignment and standardization of IT capabilities; and overseeing the design and support of technology infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective communication with stakeholders, and a commitment to delivering high-quality IT solutions that meet the needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree plus a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience, or a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related IT field, plus a minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and planning and organizational skills are essential. Relevant professional experience in a similar capacity within a comparable international organization is desirable. A proven track record of working effectively in a team environment and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or information technology. Alternatively, candidates may qualify with a bachelor's degree in one of these fields, provided they have substantial professional experience in IT roles. Continuous learning and professional development in emerging technologies and IT best practices are highly valued.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience for candidates with an advanced degree, or a minimum of ten years for those with a bachelor's degree. Experience should include working in IT roles that involve application management, project management, information security, data analysis, or related fields. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of IT operations and the ability to manage complex projects effectively.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the IMF. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the regions of South Korea and Japan, is considered a valuable asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
