Job Overview:
The Senior Evaluation Officer position within the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) of the World Bank Group is pivotal for assessing the effectiveness of the organization's operational policies, programs, and activities. The officer will also be expected to engage with operational teams to ensure the independence and credibility of evaluations while promoting learning and ownership among operational staff.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Senior Evaluation Officer position must possess a Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant field, such as economics, evaluation, or planet sectors (including agriculture, environment, forestry, water, and climate). They should have at least 8 years of relevant experience, including operational, analytical, and policy-related work in the planet and nature sectors. Familiarity with the World Bank, IFC, and MIGA operations is essential, along with extensive experience in designing and delivering complex evaluations, preferably within a multilateral development bank context. Candidates should also demonstrate strong quantitative and qualitative evaluation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of building partnerships and mentoring junior staff.
