Job Overview:
The Team Assistant position at the World Bank Group is designed for a motivated and proactive individual who possesses excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Executive Director’s office, which involves interacting with various departments within the Bank, relevant ministries, embassies, and high-level officials. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage sensitive information, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. The Team Assistant will report directly to the Executive Director and will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members to fulfill the office's administrative needs effectively. This position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the Executive Director’s office, ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled with discretion and professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Team Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks, including but not limited to: managing the workflow and priorities for the Executive Director and other senior staff, preparing and processing sensitive information, scheduling appointments, coordinating travel, and resolving scheduling conflicts. The assistant will also draft and format correspondence in both English and Arabic, ensuring that all communications are professional and timely. Additional responsibilities include maintaining an organized filing system, prioritizing and managing incoming correspondence, assisting with the administrative arrangements for staff appointments and relocations, and providing logistical support for official events. The Team Assistant will also be expected to perform ad hoc duties as assigned and may accompany the office team to annual meetings held in member countries.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An undergraduate college degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent office support and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to prioritizing and delivering assignments under pressure. Strong written and spoken command of English and Arabic is essential, along with superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment. Candidates must demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and possess the ability to interact diplomatically with high-level officials. Proficiency in multiple computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and communication tools, is required, along with a willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma, although an undergraduate degree is preferred. Candidates should have a strong foundation in administrative support functions and be familiar with office management practices. Relevant certifications or training in office administration or related fields may also be beneficial.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in administrative support roles. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing office tasks efficiently and effectively, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience in a similar role within an international organization or governmental agency is highly desirable.

Languages:
Proficiency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as the Team Assistant will be required to draft and respond to correspondence in both languages. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.
