Job Overview:
The internship-programme" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Internship Programme at FAO is designed to attract talented young individuals who are motivated to contribute their innovative ideas and academic experiences to the organization's work. Interns will have the opportunity to supplement their academic knowledge with practical work assignments in fields related to FAO's mission. The programme aims to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO's Strategic Framework, particularly in transforming agri-food systems to be more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. Interns will report to assigned supervisors and will be involved in various tasks that align with their profiles and the organization's needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will perform functions as specified in the Terms of Reference (TOR) prepared by the hiring office. This may include conducting research, assisting in project implementation, participating in meetings, and contributing to reports and presentations. Interns are expected to engage actively in their assigned tasks, collaborate with team members, and provide insights based on their academic background. They will also be involved in activities that support the organization's goals and objectives, contributing to the overall mission of FAO.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree programme at an accredited institution. They should specialize in a field relevant to FAO's mission and work. A working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish) is required, and knowledge of a second FAO language is considered an asset. Candidates must be nationals of FAO member countries and should be aged between 21 and 3

Educational Background:
Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from a recognized educational institution, with qualifications that are acknowledged by the World Higher Education Database (WHED). Experience:
While prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate relevant academic studies in fields pertinent to FAO's work. The internship is primarily aimed at students or recent graduates, thus the focus is on providing practical experience rather than requiring extensive professional experience.

Languages:

FAO does not charge any fees during the recruitment process. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend unless sponsored by their universities or other entities.
