Job Overview:
The UX/UI Product Designer will play a crucial role in enhancing UNICEF's digital products by crafting, testing, and improving web features. This position involves working closely with the Digital Governance and Platforms Team to create engaging web products that are intuitive and accessible. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Product Designer will engage in 18 Design Sprints, delivering design concepts, functional prototypes, and final specifications for UI elements. Responsibilities include attending Sprint Planning sessions, collaborating with the Product Owner and Design Lead, developing A/B testing strategies, creating design prototypes, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards, and updating the UNICEF Design System based on testing outcomes. The designer will also document deliverables, provide annotated Figma files for developers, and conduct internal capacity-building sessions on A/B testing practices.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a professional background in design, specifically in web, UX/UI, product, or user experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A strong digital portfolio showcasing user experience and interface design is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, as well as a proven ability to create intuitive and accessible web interfaces. Familiarity with product design tools is also required.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Design (web, UX/UI, product, user experience, graphic) or a related field is required. Alternatively, candidates with an unrelated Bachelor’s Degree may be considered if they have an additional two years of relevant work experience in UX/UI fields. This educational background is crucial for understanding design principles and methodologies.
Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of professional experience in design, specifically in areas related to web, UX/UI, product, or user experience. This level of experience is necessary to ensure that the candidate can effectively contribute to the design and development of UNICEF's digital products and platforms.
