Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: assisting in drafting, reviewing, and preparing official documents, briefs, and correspondence; developing and designing presentations and supporting materials for RCO meetings and external engagements; preparing and finalizing minutes, summaries, and reports from conferences, meetings, and consultations; supporting the planning and organization of RCO events, workshops, and other activities; contributing to social media and communications outreach, including drafting content and supporting digital engagement; and providing support to other tasks and ad hoc assignments as relevant to the work of the RCO.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the internship, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent). Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter, including a willingness to understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views. No prior working experience is required, but relevant training, education, or skills that can benefit the UN during the internship are encouraged.
Educational Background: Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program or the final year of a bachelor's degree program. This educational background is essential to ensure that interns possess the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the UN's work.
