Job Overview: The intern" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Communications Intern position at CHAI involves supporting the operation and maintenance of CHAI China’s social media accounts, which includes writing, editing, formatting, and publishing content and press releases. The intern will assist the project team in enhancing various professional reports and documents, as well as planning, producing, and editing video interviews with global health experts. Additionally, the intern will research media trends and provide content suggestions on relevant global health topics, write and plan activities, and support the translation and localization of communication and media materials as needed. This role is crucial in promoting CHAI's mission and ensuring effective communication of its initiatives and achievements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the operation and maintenance of CHAI China’s social media accounts, including writing, editing, formatting, and publishing content and press releases.
Support the project team in editing, optimizing, and improving various professional reports and documents.
Assist in planning, producing, and editing video interviews of global health experts.
Research media trends and provide content suggestions on relevant global health topics.
Responsible for writing and planning activities related to communication strategies.
Support the translation and localization of communication and media materials as needed.
Perform other communication and advocacy-related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program in relevant fields such as media, media studies, communications, linguistics, journalism, or related majors.
Proficient in reading and understanding English with a strong command of Chinese, capable of writing content in both languages as required.
A passion for public health and international development is preferred.
Educational Background: Candidates should be currently enrolled in a relevant academic program, such as media studies, communications, linguistics, journalism, or related fields. This educational background is essential for understanding the nuances of communication in a global health context and for effectively engaging with diverse audiences.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have experience in new media content management and operation, which includes familiarity with various social media platforms.
