Job Overview: The consultant will play a pivotal role in advancing UNICEF's cybersecurity architecture and engineering capabilities. The consultant will collaborate with internal teams to design secure solutions, conduct assessments, develop hardened deployment templates, and automate security operations. The role also involves integrating detection capabilities and contributing to reusable security blueprints and governance models. The consultant will operationalize secure design principles across UNICEF's digital ecosystem, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives. The objectives of this engagement include strengthening cybersecurity architecture, integrating security practices into the software development lifecycle, supporting the modernization and secure migration of applications to cloud environments, and promoting organization-wide adoption of secure development practices.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's responsibilities include conducting security architecture reviews for ICT systems, designing secure architecture blueprints, modernizing legacy ICT systems, coordinating cloud migrations, developing reusable deployment templates, conducting security assessments, and utilizing scripting languages for automation. Additionally, the consultant will support the adoption of the Application Security Framework, conduct application security assessments, integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines, and support the implementation of security monitoring and threat detection capabilities. The consultant will also perform routine security assessments, deliver training sessions, and support the development of security roadmaps for field offices.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related discipline is desirable. Proficiency in security assessment tools, application security principles, cloud application security, and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to handle multiple assignments, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools is also required.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related discipline is desirable, along with additional relevant academic qualifications such as graduate certificates in cybersecurity or cloud computing.
