Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: monitoring developments related to violence against children, assisting with administrative tasks for the SRSG-VAC office, organizing conferences and events, taking notes and summarizing meetings, conducting research, updating country profiles, and preparing for country visits. Additionally, the intern will support initiatives aimed at strengthening child participation in the office's work, including preparing child-friendly documents and documenting youth-led initiatives. The intern may also accompany team members to meetings with delegates and perform other functions as requested by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program (second university degree or equivalent) or be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level). No prior work experience is required, but relevant training, education, or skills that can benefit the UN during the internship are essential. Previous UN internship experience is a plus, and candidates should provide details of any past assignments.
