Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks that may include: researching, compiling, and systematically organizing information and reference materials from various sources for reports, work plans, studies, briefings, and meetings/conferences. They will compile statistical data for reporting on sustainable urban development, prepare literature reviews on specific topics, proofread documents, and translate materials between Spanish and English. Additionally, interns will edit texts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and style, ensuring adherence to established standards for format. They will also prepare various inputs for reports, publications, and presentations, which may include tables, lists, graphs, charts, and diagrams. Furthermore, interns will adapt and review web content and upload information to the urban and cities platform, formatting documents in line with organizational standards.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) a high school diploma is required for this internship; (b) enrollment in or completion of a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (c) enrollment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent). While professional work experience is not required for the UN Internship Programme, applicants must have a field of study closely related to the internship they are applying for. Additionally, applicants should possess the skills necessary to develop a research project on land markets and climate change, and they must provide proof of their academic and professional background to demonstrate how they meet this criterion.
Educational Background: Candidates must be students in the final year of their first university degree (bachelor's or equivalent), or enrolled in or have completed a Master's or Ph.D. program.
