Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position at ECLAC/ILPES in Santiago is designed to provide support to the Training and Knowledge Management area. The intern will work under the supervision of the Officer in Charge of the Training Unit, contributing to the design and development of content for courses, editing audiovisual materials, and preparing reports related to training activities. This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of graphic and audiovisual resources used in virtual courses and technical assistance activities offered by ILPES. The internship is expected to last between 2 to 6 months, depending on the needs of the office, and candidates may be selected throughout the posting period on an 'as-needed' basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
  • Assisting in the design and development of training content for courses offered by ILPES.
  • Editing and producing high-quality audiovisual materials to support training initiatives.
  • Preparing reports and documentation related to training activities and outcomes.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure that all materials meet the required quality standards.
  • Engaging in research and analysis to support the development of training programs.
  • Participating in meetings and discussions to provide input on training strategies and methodologies.
  • Supporting the overall objectives of the Training and Knowledge Management area by contributing innovative ideas and solutions.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent); or (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher). The minimum required level of education is a high school diploma. Candidates must be undergraduate students in their final semester or currently pursuing a master’s degree in fields related to Social Sciences, Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, or Educational Technologies.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a strong educational background in relevant fields such as Social Sciences, Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, or Educational Technologies. A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with preference given to those who are in their final year of undergraduate studies or pursuing a graduate degree.

Experience:
While specific professional experience is not required for this internship, candidates should demonstrate relevant academic knowledge and skills in graphic design and content development. Experience in creating educational materials or working in a training environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship, as English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Additionally, fluency in Spanish is highly desirable, given the location and context of the internship.
