Job Overview:
The consultant will provide high-level technical support to the National Institute of Statistics (INS) team, focusing on analyzing themes related to childhood, youth, education, social protection, and health coverage. The role involves producing a comprehensive analytical report and relevant statistical tables based on the 2024 Population and Housing Census (RGPH). The consultant will assist in developing and validating tabulation plans, identifying key indicators, and analyzing specific indicators derived from the census data. This includes examining disparities by gender, age, and geographical location, as well as comparing current census results with previous data to identify trends and changes. The consultant will also provide clear explanatory elements to facilitate the interpretation of statistical results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support INS thematic focal points in developing and validating tabulation plans related to childhood, youth, education, social protection, and health coverage.
• Assist in identifying, defining, and documenting key indicators to be produced in compliance with international standards.
• Provide technical support in analyzing specific indicators from the 2024 census, such as school enrollment rates, literacy levels, school dropout rates, access to vocational training, and distances to public educational institutions.
• Identify disparities based on gender, age, delegation, governorate, and district.
• Compare 2024 census results with previous census data to identify major trends and changes.
• Compare 2024 census results related to childhood, youth, education, and social protection with available administrative data to detect discrepancies and enrich the interpretation of key indicators.
• Accompany statistical results with clear explanatory elements to facilitate interpretation and contextualization.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced university degree in economics, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• A minimum of ten years of experience in data analysis, national surveys, and large-scale household studies, particularly on issues related to children.
• At least eight years of experience in managing, processing, and analyzing data with a strong understanding of household survey data processing approaches.
• In-depth knowledge of data management and analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, etc.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Previous experience with the UN, World Bank, or UNICEF in a similar position is an asset.
• Proficiency in French and Arabic.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in economics, statistics, applied mathematics, or a relevant field. This educational background is crucial for understanding and analyzing complex data sets and indicators related to children's rights and welfare.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in data analysis, national surveys, and large-scale household studies, particularly focusing on issues affecting children.
