Job Overview:
The position of Consultant for Skills Development Programme involves leading and facilitating a comprehensive training initiative aimed at enhancing the skills of the UN Women Vietnam Country Office staff. The consultant will work under the supervision of the Country Representative and in close consultation with the office training committee. The primary objective is to develop a tailored skills development programme that addresses the needs identified through various assessments, including a 360-degree feedback exercise and a training needs assessment. The consultant will be responsible for creating a detailed training plan that spans from October 2025 to March 2026, focusing on critical thinking, analytical skills, effective use of AI and digital tools, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The role requires delivering group learning activities, facilitating individual coaching, and evaluating the effectiveness of the training programme.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive training plan from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, incorporating the latest approaches to enhance team competencies in critical thinking, conflict resolution, AI utilization, and workplace culture transformation.
  • Conduct group learning activities as per the approved training plan.
  • Facilitate individual and group coaching sessions tailored to key leadership competencies identified through assessments.
  • Create an evaluation framework to measure knowledge and skill improvements, including pre- and post-assessment surveys and feedback tools.
  • Present the approved training programme to all staff to ensure clarity on expectations and time commitments.
  • Submit a final summary report with recommendations for future capacity development initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires either individual consultants or a pre-formed team with specific qualifications. The team leader must possess an advanced degree in Strategic Leadership, Organizational Development, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in leadership training and development. Team members should have advanced degrees or equivalent experience in relevant fields, with varying years of experience based on their roles. All candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, as well as a strong understanding of organizational behavior and leadership theory.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for the position include an advanced degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Strategic Leadership, Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources, Communication, or related areas. Team members should have relevant degrees or certifications that align with their specific roles in the training programme.

Experience:
Candidates must have substantial experience relevant to their roles. The team leader should have at least 10 years of experience in leadership training and development, while team members should have 5 to 7 years of experience in designing and delivering training, facilitating group interventions, and working with international organizations. Experience in coaching, digital transformation, and applying gender-sensitive approaches is highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for all positions. This is particularly important for effective communication and delivery of training materials, especially in digital training contexts.
