Job Overview: The position of International/Senior National Consultant for Skills Development Programme is crucial for the UN Women Vietnam Country Office as it embarks on a new strategic planning phase. The consultant will lead and facilitate a comprehensive skills development programme aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the office staff in response to the evolving operational context. This role involves reviewing existing documents from previous assessments, including a 360-degree feedback exercise and a training needs assessment, to propose a detailed and costed skills development programme that will be implemented until March 202
The consultant will focus on developing critical thinking, analytical skills, effective use of AI and digital tools, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The programme will include group learning activities, individual coaching, and an evaluation framework to measure the effectiveness of the training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a detailed training plan from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, focusing on improving functional competencies in areas such as critical thinking, conflict resolution, and effective use of AI tools.
Deliver group learning activities as per the approved training plan.
Facilitate individual and group coaching sessions tailored to key leadership competencies identified through assessments.
Provide an evaluation framework that includes pre- and post-assessment surveys to measure knowledge and skill improvements.
Track participation and satisfaction through feedback forms and submit a final summary report with recommendations for future capacity development initiatives.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a team formation approach, allowing for either individual consultants or pre-formed teams. The team leader must possess an advanced degree in Strategic Leadership, Organizational Development, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in leadership training and development. Team members should have a Master's degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields, with varying years of experience depending on their specific roles. All candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, as well as a strong understanding of organizational behavior and leadership theory.
Educational Background: Candidates for the team leader position must have an advanced degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Strategic Leadership or Organizational Development. Team members should hold a Master's degree or a university degree with additional relevant experience in areas such as Psychology, Human Resources, or Technology.
Experience: The team leader should have at least 10 years of relevant experience in leadership training and development, while team members should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in their respective areas, including training design and delivery, conflict management, and digital tools for productivity.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for all positions. This is particularly important for team members involved in training delivery and coaching.
