Job Overview: The Associate IT Officer (Platforms and Systems) position is a critical role within the Infrastructure and Technology Division of the Information Technology Department at ADB. This role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments, managing system updates, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, hardware, and data centers. The officer will also administer Active Directory and DNS, handle Azure cloud management, provide support for financial applications, develop infrastructure automation, ensure security and compliance, and collaborate with various teams to support disaster recovery procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Associate IT Officer (Platforms and Systems) include:
Providing Windows server support by setting up, managing, and supporting Windows Server versions 2016, 2019, and 2022, including monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues.
Managing system updates and security by applying patches, updates, and security configurations to maintain system integrity.
Overseeing hardware and data center management by setting up, installing, and managing hardware across data centers.
Administering Active Directory and DNS, managing user accounts, group policies, and troubleshooting DNS configurations.
Handling Azure cloud management, deploying and managing Azure virtual machines, services, and Azure Active Directory.
Offering financial application support by providing technical assistance for financial applications and collaborating with developers and vendors for updates and enhancements.
Contributing to infrastructure automation by developing automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) and integrating them into DevOps pipelines.
Ensuring security and compliance by implementing security best practices, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to regulations and policies.
Fostering collaboration with teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and processes.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Associate IT Officer position must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, preferably with advanced training. Significant achievements or experience in relevant domains may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in various infrastructure technologies support and administration. Experience in administration and technical support for Windows Server OS versions 2016, 2019, and 2022 is essential. Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, SSH, and monitoring tools is also required. After the initial fixed-term period, ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 3 years based on various factors, including the requirement for the staff's specific skills and experience, sufficient funding, and the staff's performance. It is important to note that this appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment.
