Job Overview: As an Associate Investment Officer at ADB, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Risk Analytics Unit within the Private Sector Operations Department. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing analytical support for processing both portfolio and new transactions. This includes developing financial models that adhere to ADB's standards and best practices, conducting audits, and ensuring that all financial models are well-structured and user-friendly. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Investment Officer include:
Financial Modeling and Audit: - Build and maintain custom financial models for various corporate and infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet industry best practices and ADB's criteria. - Audit and modify existing financial models, documenting all changes for transparency and accuracy. - Participate in due diligence processes, including conference calls and missions, to gather necessary information for analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis. - Conduct thorough financial analysis and benchmarking to identify key business drivers and develop models based on validated assumptions. - Facilitate walkthroughs of financial models with counterparties to ensure understanding and accuracy.

Required Qualifications: To be considered for the Associate Investment Officer position, candidates must possess the following qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required, with advanced training being preferable. - Professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are advantageous. - A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in an international bank, accounting firm, or multilateral/bilateral development organization, specifically in financial modeling, forecasting, risk management, or investment appraisal. - Demonstrated experience in building and auditing complex financial models for various sectors and infrastructure projects, as well as back-testing these models. - Mastery of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create detailed models and conduct sensitivity analyses for debt and equity transactions. - Familiarity with risk rating tools and developments in risk management is essential. - Strong report-writing and communication skills in English are mandatory.

Additional Notes: This position is a fixed-term appointment for an initial period of 3 years, with the possibility of extension for up to 2 additional years, conversion to a regular appointment, or termination at the end of the initial period based on ADB's needs and the employee's performance.
