Job Overview:
The Driver position at FHI 360 is crucial for providing safe and efficient transportation services for staff and visitors. The individual in this role will be responsible for transporting project staff, consultants, and visitors to designated locations while ensuring the safety, cleanliness, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and maintenance of the vehicle. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to: operating a vehicle to ensure safe transportation of clients; ensuring that all passengers wear seat belts; adhering to Ethiopian traffic laws and FHI 360 vehicle policies; conducting daily and pre-long-distance vehicle checks; maintaining an accurate vehicle log sheet; ensuring the vehicle is clean, fueled, and mechanically sound; reporting any vehicle defects; assisting clients during entry and exit from the vehicle; providing day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle, including timely oil changes and inspections; arranging for major repairs when necessary; ensuring all required vehicle documentation is up to date; planning routes based on schedules or ad-hoc requests; ensuring compliance with road safety regulations; fulfilling special requests for item delivery and errands; and protecting clients in high-risk locations as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of secondary school education or equivalent. They should have at least 5 years of experience as a driver with a government or international organization, specifically in driving four-wheel drive vehicles. A valid Grade 3 driving license is required, along with a trade test certificate and a clean driving record. Experience operating large vehicles is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a mature, hardworking, and enthusiastic attitude, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a minimum of secondary school education or its equivalent. This foundational education is essential for understanding vehicle operation, safety protocols, and basic communication skills necessary for the role.
