Job Overview:
The SSA Consultant (Private Sector Partnership) position is crucial for the Private Sector Partnerships unit at WFP India, which is responsible for mobilizing resources, expertise, and innovation from businesses to enhance food security and nutrition goals. This role involves engaging with corporations, foundations, and social enterprises to create impactful partnerships that leverage technology and supply chains to support government-led initiatives and WFP programs. The consultant will coordinate and control a range of business support services for the Private Sector Partnerships team, ensuring effective service delivery in raising funds for WFP India’s projects. The position also emphasizes the importance of positioning WFP with external partners to attract resources and innovative solutions, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Zero Hunger initiative.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will support the WFP India Private Sector Partnerships team in various capacities, including: implementing the private sector engagement work plan, conducting desk research to compile databases of potential partners, assisting in the preparation of concept notes and proposals, developing visual and written communication materials, maintaining the private sector contact database, coordinating logistics for donor visits and partnership meetings, contributing to the creation of Partnership Action Plans and MoUs, tracking national CSR trends, and providing administrative support to the team. Additionally, the consultant will assist in documenting success stories and lessons learned from private sector-funded projects, ensuring that the team is well-prepared for meetings and engagements with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a University Degree in Social Sciences or Business Management, with specialized certification in a related functional area being desirable. A minimum of 5 years of experience in engaging with the private sector as part of social impact organizations or working within the private sector with an understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or client management is required. Prior experience with UN or other multilateral agencies is considered an asset. Candidates must be nationals of India or residents with a valid work permit.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes a University Degree in Social Sciences or Business Management. Specialized certification in a related functional area is desirable, indicating a strong foundation in the principles of social impact and business management.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in engaging with the private sector within social impact organizations or in roles that involve CSR or client management. Experience working with UN agencies or similar multilateral organizations is highly desirable, as it demonstrates familiarity with the operational frameworks and expectations of such entities.

Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered under a Special Services Agreement for a duration of 11 months, with the possibility of renewal depending on project requirements. The role is open exclusively to Indian nationals. The starting salary is approximately INR 80,000 per month, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
